Welcome to the Village

A school where every child is known, challenged, supported, and connected.

We are proposing The Village School because we believe children thrive when the adults around them work together. Our vision is a school where teachers know each child well, where expectations are high and support is real, and where learning reaches beyond the classroom walls.

Why “village”? Students, families, educators, and community members each contribute to a child's growth. A village shares responsibility, celebrates progress, and makes sure no one is left out.

Our values

Proposed

What guides the village.

Five proposed values shape how we plan to teach, partner with families, and grow as a school.

  1. 01

    Curiosity

We honor children's questions and treat wonder as the beginning of learning.

  2. 02

    Inquiry

We investigate, test ideas, and look for evidence together.

  3. 03

    Exploration

We learn by doing — in classrooms, outdoors, and across our community.

  4. 04

    Community

We grow stronger when families, educators, and neighbors work side by side.

  5. 05

    Preparation for the world

We build the knowledge, language, and character children need for what comes next.

Learning at the Village

Strong foundations. Meaningful application.

Our proposed learning model is built for children in kindergarten through third grade at opening, and designed to grow with them through eighth grade.
